LEAD 2021

The GCISD May 2016 bond is driven by a district-wide strategic plan, called LEAD 2021. This stands for Leading Excellence – Action Driven. Through this plan, we are working to transform the education experience in GCISD so that we are better preparing students for the world that awaits them now and in the future.

 In 2010, more than 300 stakeholders including parents, staff, students and community members came together to develop LEAD 2021 to guide the district as it progressed in the 21st century. With four core objectives and seven strategies, LEAD 2021 is incorporated in every aspect of the district - from instruction to technology to facilities and personnel. 

Facilities and Technology are two of the strategies set by LEAD 2021 that will help GCISD achieve its mission of Building Excellent Schools Together.

  • Fostering citizenship and mutual respect

  • Building community involvement
